Al-Firdous is a community initiative dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and families through a range of services, including a charity shop, food bank, women’s classes, prisoner support, hot meal distribution, and more. Our mission is to provide emergency relief, long-term support, and sustainable development programs to empower those in need. 

We offer a variety of services, including:

  1. Charity Shop: Selling donated items to support our projects.
  2. Food Bank: Providing food packs to low-income families and individuals.
  3. Hot Meal Distribution: Regularly distributing meals to the homeless.
  4. Women’s Classes and Workshops: Skill development, health workshops, fitness classes, and more.
  5. Counselling and Emotional Support: One-to-one sessions to help those facing challenges.
  6. Prisoner Support: Gift packs for male and female prisoners during Ramadan.
  7. Community Hub: A safe space for coffee, chat, and social connection.

Our services are primarily aimed at low-income families, women, refugees, the elderly, and anyone in need of support, regardless of background or circumstances.

There are several ways to support us:

  • Gift Aid: Make your donation go further by signing up for Gift Aid if you’re a UK taxpayer.
You can donate online through our website, by bank transfer, or in person at our center. All contributions go 100% directly to supporting our programs and helping those in need.
Yes, all our support services are offered free of charge to those in need. The charity shop items are sold at low prices, and the proceeds are used to fund our initiatives.

Our main operations are based in Leicester, but we also run humanitarian projects internationally, including distributing aid to vulnerable communities abroad.
